The Helps Ministry
As clear as the New Testament is about missions, it is also
as clear that there are many dear servants of the Lord who are not
serving as church-planting missionaries, yet are serving in a
worth-while and Biblical manner. It is evident that they are sent
out of their local church, that their pastor is overseeing their
ministry and that they are accountable to their local, independent
Baptist church. It is our desire to help, pray for and support this
type of ministry for the glory and honor of the Lord.
To be supported by our local church, those in the Christian
ministries of “helps” would need to qualified in the same manner as
all other Faith Baptist Churches supported missionaries.
Helps ministry would include ministries such as:
Church Bus repair: Men who are called of God to help repair, inspect, paint
and mechanically up keep Baptist buses. In this ministry, men
literally, are being used to keep the buses rolling, allowing
hundreds, even thousands to hear the glorious gospel.
Church Builders:
Men who are called of God to help plan, repair or build church
buildings across this nation and or across the world. In this
ministry, gifted men are saving churches and missionaries
untold thousands of dollars in labor and construction cost. This
clearly is a huge blessing as many more souls will sit in an
affordable local church and hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Local Church-Run Baptist Colleges:
Men who pastor church-run ministries who are called of God to start
and run a local Baptist Colleges are worthy of support. With the
efficient and practical training of men and women through strong
local church run Baptist Schools, we are all investing in souls.
Solidly fundamental colleges should supported by those local
churches that send or expect to send their young people off to be
trained for God’s full time service. |
