Christian baptism is the total immersion in water of a
born-again believer: in the name of the Father, of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit, to show forth in a solemn and
beautiful emblem of our faith in the crucified, buried and
risen Saviour, signifying our death to sin and resurrection
to a new life in Christ. It is a pre-requisite to the
privileges of a church membership and to the Lord's supper.
This sacred use of bread and the fruit of the vine, is to
commemorate the dying love of Christ, and is always preceded
by solemn self-examination.
All who have accepted the free gift of salvation have
attained the promise of eternal life. Man himself is not the
author of his salvation, rather it is given and kept through
the power of Jesus Christ. Man is unable to loose that which
he himself is powerless to keep.
It is impossible for one who becomes a child of God to be
lost again. The Bible teaches only one kind of salvation and
that is eternal salvation.
